Arthur (Art) Lindsey, Sr. was born and raised in Una, South Carolina. He and his wife Janie are parents of three children and five grandchildren.  Art served in the U.S. Navy and attended Rutledge Business College and graduated from Spartanburg Technical College. He is also a published author of the book  Racism: The Goliath Within The Present Day Church.
