Mary Hoey was born and raised in Pacolet, South Carolina.  She is the mother of one daughter, two sons, grandmother of five, and great- grandmother of one.  She graduated from Pacolet High School and attended Spartanburg Technical College. Mary recognizes the importance of the Ministry of Helps as mentioned in I Corinthians 12:28- “And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.” A good acronym to understand the Ministry of Helps is Having Enough Loving People Serving!

Mary has been the church secretary since 1994, and is a firm believer of Ecclesiastes 9:10 “Whatever your hands find to do, do it with all your might.”
