Removing Hindrance to God’s Presence that keep us from receiving His best for our lives
To receive direction from the Lord takes a quiet heart. The opening scripture below states that to know God and His will we must have a still quiet heart. The scriptures teach that He speaks in a still small voice. 1 Kings 19:12 Below is an outline with scriptural references that you can study to help you in your pursuit of the Lord. 1. Scripture – Psalms 46:10 ; Revelation 1:10
2. Remove external noise – Matthew 6:6
A. Phones, people - Mark 1:35
3. Remove physical tension – Hebrews 4: 9-11; Hebrews 3: 18-19
A. Restless, climate extremes
4. Remove inner tension (worry) – 1 Peter 5:7 ; Philippians 4:6-7
5. Set your heart to receive - Psalms 1:2 ; John 15:4-5
A. Write down what you want to jump up and do when you start praying/waiting.
B. Sin conscious – confess it- 1 John 1:9
C. Trouble still (restless) sing love songs to Jesus
D. Time restraints – cultivate listening when doing automatic things during the day
E. Praying in the Spirit – 1 Corinthians 14:2
F. Focus – Hebrews 12:1-2
